Treatments

I offer a range of treatments combining Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, designed to improve general well-being. Treatments can also include therapeutic massage, cupping and moxibustion if deemed necessary.

Initial Consultation

A detailed history of the patient’s ailments will be taken in order to set a treatment plan best suited. Acupuncture treatment will be administered, as well as diet and lifestyle advice to help with the healing process.

Acupuncture

The use of fine disposable needles will stimulate specific points on the body in order to help the body restore to its natural balanced state. Treatment is aimed at addressing the cause of the condition holistically in addition to treating the symptoms. Patients may notice other complaints and problems are resolved as the treatment progresses.

Cupping

Refers to an ancient Chinese practice in which a cup is applied to the skin. The skin and superficial muscle layer is drawn into and held in the cup. In some cases, the cup may be moved while the suction of skin is active, causing a regional pulling of the skin and muscle.

The treatment gives the tissue a deep, quick massage. It breaks down adhesions, and thus helps in blood circulation. Cupping can benefit any painful congested area, bronchitis, swellings, arthritis, low backache, sprains, shoulder tension and more.

Therapeutic Massage

Deep tissue massage using different manipulations and stretching to stimulate the body energy flow.
